Work-out or Work-not?

There are differing opinions on whether or not you should exercise while on the cleanse. I didn’t do much of it at the initial advice of friends, but felt it would not have been a strain on my body, as I was used to getting the exercise. My personal advice is to decrease your intensity if you normally work out, and to wait if you don’t. But most importantly, you should listen to your body. If you have extra energy to burn, do it, but if you feel you want to relax your muscles along with your digestive tract, that seems fine, too. Concerning the loss of muscle mass, I feel the body can rebound rather quickly from a week or two of relaxation, but if you are trying for a longer cleanse, I would talk to a professional. You are only gaining 1-2 g of protein each day, so a 40 day cleanse may prove a problem. On the short term, though, as someone who survived a vegetarian diet with few protein supplements for 7 years, I can assure you that you will not die. All of the sites out there claiming it is unhealthy are right if they are discussing a diet you intend to keep for a long period of time, but a cleanse has a finite length, so I wouldn’t worry.

On the exercise, here are some sites to check out, the info is buried in the content, scroll and you’ll find it:
